Sailing vessel Venture has been sailing New England waters since 1910.  She spends her spring, summer and fall chartering in Acadia National park, Maine.  During the winter she can be found sailing down the picturesque east coast, providing day sails, and overnight charters along the way.

Would you like to spend a few hours, a full day, an overnight, or a couple nights sailing aboard Venture?  We are happy to accommodate your schedule.  Our 6 person capacity ensures that each excursion will be a private and unique experience.

Whichever trip you prefer, we invite you to sit back and relax, enjoy seeing lighthouses, seals, porpoise, osprey, bald eagles, peregrine falcons, sea otters and whatever marine life we find in our lobster traps. Our knowledgeable local captains will provide you with a natural and historical tour of the area.

Experience lobster fishing the old fashioned way and watch your captain haul a trap by hand, while teaching you about the industry.  If you are interested in learning to sail yourself, we will gladly let you take the wheel, assist in raising sails, and teach you the basics, or the more advanced points of sailing.
